Brendan Rodgers' Reds return to Fenway Park on July 23 for a friendly against AS Roma before taking on Olympiacos, domestic rivals Manchester City and AC Milan as part of the International Champions Cup.
The players' exertions during the next six weeks are steadily building towards the beginning of the Barclays Premier League season and an opening match with Southampton in mid-August.
Enrique, who is currently approaching full fitness after missing much of 2013-14 through injury, considers the standard of matches lined up to be an advantage ahead of competitive fixtures.
"That's for the best, to play these types of teams," the Spaniard explained to LFCTour.com from Melwood as pre-season training kicked off.
"Because you are in pre-season, everyone is going to be tired - us and them. We are going to have two training sessions every day more or less.
"But when you are competing in the league, to have competed against the best teams in pre-season, when it comes you are not just relaxed and you have already competed against good teams.
"So I think it's really good news to play these teams before the season starts."
