Liverpool will take on Greek champions Olympiacos at the same stadium on July 27th as part of the Guinness International Champions Cup but on Tuesday, it was all about this World Cup tournament that has captured the hearts of millions of sports fans all over America including a certain President Barack Obama.
28,000 'soccer' fans packed into the home of the Chicago Bears to create America's biggest ever football viewing party as the men's national team took on Belgium in the knock-out stages of the World Cup in Brazil.
Despite the incredible support across the States and over in Brazil - where American fans have bought more tickets than any other visiting nation - the USA team bowed out after another heroic performance.
However, as our special Soldier Field photo gallery highlights, team USA's incredible performances in Brazil has only increased the appetite amongst fans for football in the United States.
All of which bodes well for Liverpool FC's visit to Chicago later this month. To make sure you don't miss out on a chance to watch LFC's first game of the Guinness International Champions Cup, click here to buy your ticket today>>
