The Brazilian midfielder completed a full 90 minutes in the gruelling heat during Wednesday night's narrow defeat to Italian side AS Roma - a repeat fixture of two seasons ago when the Reds last toured North America.
When the teams last met at the historical Fenway Park stadium in 2012, Liverpool's No.21 found himself in a slightly different circumstance, having just started his recovery to the long-term injury he'd endured in the 2011-12 campaign.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Lucas said: "It's always great to play in a great stadium, especially at Fenway Park in front of the fantastic supporters and we hope we can get some better results in the next few friendlies.
"We played here two years ago against Roma but actually, it was a different situation for me as I was coming back from surgery."
With a full 90 minutes now under his belt, the Reds No.21 has featured in three pre-season games this summer and is continuing to focus on returning to full match-fitness in preparation of the new season.
He added: "It's a first 90 minutes and I felt Okay. Of course, I'm still on my way to full fitness but that's the main thing of pre-season - to be fit and ready for the start of the season."
Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat to AS Roma in Boston with a last-gasp winner from substitute Marco Borriello.
He said: "It's always disappointing when you lose a game, especially the way we lost in the last minute. We would have liked to have given a better result to the fans but it wasn't possible."
