The match, to be played on Wednesday, July 23 marks the opening fixture of the Reds' pre-season tour of America, with three further ties arranged in Chicago, New York and Charlotte.
It will all start when two of Europe's greatest teams - each of whom boast significant fan bases in the region - run out at the iconic baseball venue, home of the Boston Red Sox, who, like the Reds, are owned by Fenway Sports Group.
Almost exactly two years will have passed since their last meeting - a sell-out crowd gathered in 2012 to watch the Serie A heavyweights claim a narrow victory in Brendan Rodgers' fledgling weeks at the helm.
For the rematch, Fenway will be divided into neutral, Liverpool and Roma supporters sections, with the Kop to be recreated in the bleachers, right field box and outfield grandstand areas.
Ticket prices range from $20 to $150 and can be purchased now at redsox.com/footballatfenway or by calling (877) RED-SOX9. Accessibility seating is also available by using the same telephone number.
As their tour continues from Boston to participation in the Guinness International Champions Cup, Liverpool will face off against Olympiacos, Manchester City and AC Milan in the three aforementioned cities.
In addition to the football on the pitch, the club will also oversee player appearances during their visit to the States, while the Liverpool FC Foundation will host community activities on each leg of the journey.
